How to be happy according to science?

"What is happiness?" - I found myself discussing this topic with two different people at two different parties over the last weekend. Despite it clearly being such a universal question, the humanity has not yet found a comprehensive answer that would stand the test of time. Religion, humanity's most significant attempt so far, has been pushed to the inevitable brink of obsoleteness. Left to our own devices to face chaos, we often waste our precious time away, failing to find the true source of contentment and deep enjoyment.

Smart woman. Schopenhauer believed that death was not the end of our being. Did he suggest that, if you're a better shot, you can challenge your opponent to a duel in order to win an argument, or at least postpone the discussion to a later date, to a debate that might take place in the next world?

Hey Karolina Good video, can I ask a few questions please? well more about asking for advice, I really love math , I do like algebra and probably some statistics, planning to go to machine learning but I don't like coming up with the most efficient algorithm all the time. I like software engineering too and I love building stuff but it feels like what I learned from data structures and algorithm is kinda feel wasted? again idk why I am like this but i don't like toying around with data not to the point it's too complicated, so what should I pick if that's the case?

Good video, but I think you should consider that "software engineers" exist at all levels of seniority, whereas the "machine learning engineer" role is almost exclusively a senior level role with virtually zero entry level positions. Anyone that takes the ML path and is entry level is most likely a data analyst and only becomes an ML engineer or data engineer after many years of experience. So the two salaries are not really comparable.

As someone currently on a masters conversion in this department (at a different UK university) I feel a bit short changed by it so far. I think I went in to it naively thinking I would be taught like it was an apprenticeship but I'm actually essentially teaching myself 95% of it, which I could have done anyway WITHOUT paying thousands to go to lectures to be told what to go and study. Then there's all the strict academic rules regarding assignments which is back in my life after many years since originally leaving uni. High stress, high cost, it bloody better be worth it at the end is all I will conclude with.
